Chimanlal Gandalal “Simani,” a well-known businessman and founder of the Lalita Store, has passed away at the age of 81 at his home in Ma’ufanga, Tongatapu, on 17 September 2024, following a short illness. His funeral took place the following Saturday.
Gandalal was celebrated in the community for his contributions to local business, having built and sustained the Lalita Store, which has been a cornerstone of the area. Tributes have flooded in on social media, with heartfelt messages expressing condolences and support for his family.
“Please Chimanlal’s family accept our sincere condolences,” wrote Daniela and GP, reflecting the sentiment of many in the community. Radrodro Lice also shared a message of remembrance, stating, “Kau he kau tangata langa hotau fonua. RIP.”
