Richard Grace, a respected pilot and engineer, has passed away on the evening of October 15, 2024, following a courageous battle with an ongoing illness.
He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
Grace, known for his deep connection to aviation, leaves behind his wife Daisy, their children Allegra and Stirling, and his sisters Olivia and Nicola.
Richard’s death was announced through a heartfelt social media post by his family, who have requested privacy during this difficult time.
Richard’s passion for aviation began at an early age, growing up around vintage aircraft and eventually rebuilding and flying his first aircraft at the age of 20.
He became a key figure at Air Leasing Ltd, where his engineering skills and love for flight left a lasting impact on the company.
He piloted numerous historic World War II aircraft, including the Spitfire, and was also a member of the Trig Aerobatic Team, performing displays across Europe.
His passing has left a significant void in the aviation community.
