Savannah, Georgia – Rita Colleen Keigley-Neiswinter, a beloved grandmother and dear confidante to her family, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86.
Her passing, which occurred last night, has left her loved ones mourning the loss of a remarkable woman who brought joy to those around her.
Born in 1938, Rita was an integral part of her granddaughter’s life, with whom she shared a special bond.
Renae Jensen, who organized a fundraiser in memory of Rita, expressed her gratitude for the support they’ve received during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt post, Renae shared how she grew up with her grandmother, recalling fond memories of weekend sleepovers and shared moments of joy.
"Grandma was my best friend and closest confidante from the time I could talk," Renae wrote.
The family is currently seeking financial assistance to cover the costs of the funeral service, which is estimated at $1,750, as well as additional expenses.
They are in need of more than $3,000 to manage both the service and pending rent for the coming month.
The fundraiser has seen early support, including a donation from Paul Leonard.
Rita Colleen Keigley-Neiswinter’s memory will continue to live on through her family and all those who cherished her deeply.
