Midland, Pennsylvania – Roberto Alfonso Rocca, the beloved former owner of Rocca’s Hot Dog Shop and lifelong Midland resident, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 42.
Born on February 3, 1982, in Brighton Township, Roberto was the son of Roberto and Marcella Rocca.
He was a well-known figure in his community, recognized for his love of sports, especially his unwavering support of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Roberto was an active member of the Midland Sportsmen Club and the American Legion Post 481.
In addition to his passion for sports, he took great pride in his culinary skills, which he showcased through his ownership of Rocca’s Hot Dog Shop.
Roberto leaves behind a loving family, including his parents, his sisters Gia Rocca, Renee Grommas, and Claudine Lambert, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home in Midland, followed by a private blessing service and interment at Beaver Cemetery.
Condolences have poured in from friends and family.
