Queensbury, New York – Rodrigo A. Borges Da Silva, a 41-year-old resident of Fort Ann, tragically passed away following a motorcycle crash on Interstate 87 in Queensbury on the morning of Sunday, September 22, 2024.
The crash, which occurred around 5:32 a.m., has left the local community in mourning.
According to reports, Borges Da Silva was navigating a curve on the interstate when his motorcycle veered off the road and struck a delineator, a post marking the road’s boundaries.
The impact of the collision caused him to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene swiftly but, despite their efforts, Borges Da Silva was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
New York State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, although it is believed that the difficulty in navigating the curve was a major factor.
Friends and family expressed their grief and shared memories of Borges Da Silva on social media.
