Endicott, New York – Roland "Butch" Neira, a cherished figure in the local music scene, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home.
Born on April 2, 1944, in Johnson City, NY, Neira was a skilled drummer and a beloved mentor to many in the community.
He was not only recognized for his performances under the lights but also for the impact he made behind the scenes, guiding and inspiring others.
Neira’s passing has left a profound void for those who knew him, with many friends and family members sharing their heartfelt condolences on social media.
Dan Cargill remembered him fondly, saying, “Love the man, great drum teacher, mentor, friend… Butch, you will be missed.”
