Rosemary Teran, Beloved Grandmother and School Bus Driver, Passes Away After Battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Peoria, Arizona – Rosemary Teran, a beloved grandmother and dedicated school bus driver, passed away on October 9, 2024, following a brief but intense battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

She was 78 years old.

Rosemary was diagnosed just a few weeks prior, and despite her determination to fight the disease, her health rapidly declined after complications during routine treatment.

Her family shared that she went into septic shock and suffered multiple organ failures, eventually being placed on life support before passing peacefully the next morning.

Known for her hardworking and selfless nature, Rosemary not only raised her children but also took on the responsibility of raising her grandchildren.

She was still actively working as a school bus driver until her health declined.

Her family is now facing financial challenges in arranging her funeral, as she left no life insurance or will.

A fundraiser has been organized by her granddaughter, Leticia Gomez, to honor Rosemary’s legacy and give her the proper burial she deserves.

Many in the community have expressed their condolences and support.

"She was the most hardworking, selfless, protective, and resilient woman I knew," Leticia shared.

Genesis Teran, another family member, added, "We loved her dearly and never imagined a life without her."
