Barnwell, South Carolina – Sgt. Paul Brown Jr., a Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart recipient, was recently buried after his body remained frozen in a funeral home for two years and seven months.
Shockingly, his burial took place without an official death certificate.
The lack of confirmation of his death has led to ongoing concerns from his family, who are now calling for a full autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Patricia Bamberg, daughter of Sgt. Brown, is leading a fundraiser to seek justice for her father.
She shared the heartbreaking details, revealing that no one officially confirmed his death during this extended period, creating uncertainty about the circumstances surrounding his passing.
In her post, Patricia wrote, "Our father was buried without a death certificate.
We have to do a full autopsy on his body because he was never confirmed dead by anyone."
Supporters have expressed their shock and sympathy, with many joining the efforts to raise funds for a thorough investigation.
As the family seeks answers, they are hoping to honor the legacy of Sgt. Paul Brown Jr., who served his country with distinction, earning the Purple Heart during his time in Vietnam.
