Victorville, California – Tamariya Johnson, a 23-year-old resident of Victorville, tragically lost his life following a shooting at a Halloween party held on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
The incident occurred around 12:47 a.m. on the 14500 Block of Coalinga Road, where multiple gunshots were reported.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found that party attendees had already transported Johnson to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Johnson was an innocent bystander and was not involved in any conflict at the event.
Authorities are actively investigating, although no suspects have been identified at this time.
Social media tributes poured in for Johnson, known affectionately as “Ja” to his family and friends.
Johanna P. Perez expressed the community’s grief, saying, “He was an innocent bystander… He truly had an unbreakable bond with his family… this has crushed our hearts.”
Lena Martin urged justice, writing, “Justice will be served whoever you are… you can’t run from god.”
