Bethlem, United Kingdom – The local community mourns the loss of Terri Shotton, a cherished volunteer at the Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun, who passed away recently. Affectionately known as "Terri Tokens," she was a fixture at the parkrun events, dedicating her time and energy to managing the Finish Tokens role for over 100 volunteer credits.
Terri’s commitment to parkrun was unwavering, even after suffering a fall that resulted in a broken hip. Her determination saw her return to her duties, demonstrating the resilience and spirit she was known for. Sadly, her health had deteriorated in recent times, and she was being cared for by her daughter.
The parkrun community expressed their grief and shared fond memories. Paul Cregg commented, “Seeing Terri arriving at pr in her Audi tt and then stepping out with her portable oxygen machine always made me smile. It kinda summed up Terri’s sense of fun and adventure for me. RIP.” Shirley Wheeler added her condolences, expressing sorrow for Terri’s family and friends.
