West Sacramento, California – The community is mourning the tragic loss of Tim Hall, a dedicated fire engineer with the West Sacramento Fire Department (WSFD), who passed away today at the age of 59 during a training exercise. An 18-year veteran, Hall’s commitment to public safety and his community was evident throughout his career.
Hall was a graduate of the 2006 Sacramento Regional Fire Academy, and his extensive service included roles as a fire investigator and an active member of Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 7. His dedication extended beyond WSFD, as he also volunteered with the Clarksburg Fire Protection District.
WSFD Chief Steve Binns expressed the department’s sorrow, stating, “Our fire department is heartbroken. Engineer Hall loved this City and bravely served to protect our community.” The loss of Hall is deeply felt by colleagues, friends, and residents alike.
