Stradbally, Co. Waterford – It is with deep sorrow that the community of Stradbally announces the passing of Tom Hearne, a cherished resident of Killelton, Stradbally, who passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Tom was a devoted member of the local community, well-known for his contributions and dedication.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Cess, a respected committee member of Tidy Towns Stradbally, and their children, Imelda, Susan, John, Margaret, Nuala, and Tom.
Tom is predeceased by his daughter, Ann, and is now reunited with her in peace.
The community has expressed their condolences and admiration for Tom, with heartfelt messages on social media.
Katie Beresford shared her thoughts, and Catherine Curran added, “Our condolences to you Katie & Michael and all the Hearne and extended families. May Tom Rest in Peace.”
Tom’s Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 17, at Holy Cross Church, Stradbally, at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
His reposing will take place at Drohan’s Funeral Home, Dungarvan, on Wednesday, October 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tom’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the wider community.
