Perth, Western Australia – Tom Quinn, a long-time member of the Western Shamrocks GFC and a beloved figure within the Irish community, has passed away.
The news of his passing was confirmed on October 16, 2024, by the Claddagh Association, which expressed deep sadness over his loss.
Tom was a key figure in numerous community organizations, including the Irish Club Western Australia and the Claddagh Association, where he made significant contributions to promoting Irish heritage and supporting others.
Tom’s life was defined by his dedication to serving the Irish diaspora, with friends and colleagues remembering him as a mentor, a champion of Irish culture, and a kind, helpful presence.
His work extended far beyond organizing community events, as he built strong relationships and made an enduring impact on countless lives.
Condolences poured in on social media, with Crosscare Irish Diaspora Support Project stating, “Tom was truly a stalwart of the Irish community in Perth and we send our sincere condolences.”
Another tribute from Padraig Seosamh Macgrianna added, “Rest in peace Tom, your work is done.”
Tom Quinn’s family has requested that donations be made to the Claddagh Association in his memory, continuing his legacy of giving.
