Fairfax Station, Virginia – Tywana Smith, a cherished mother and valued member of her community, passed away suddenly on September 12, 2024, at the age of 56.
Her untimely death has left her family and friends mourning the loss of a woman known for her love and dedication to her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Community Baptist Church in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
The service will begin at 11 a.m., with a wake scheduled for 10 a.m.
In a heartfelt social media post, her child Tené Marie shared, “Mom loved purple, so feel free to wear something to reflect her favorite color.”
The family has requested that flower donations be made directly to the church and noted that no photography will be allowed during the wake or service.
Tené Marie has also set up a fundraiser to help cover travel expenses and other costs associated with the funeral.
As of September 18, 2024, the fundraiser has raised $560 of its $5,000 goal.
In her message, Tené expressed the challenges her family faces due to the sudden nature of their mother’s passing, highlighting her mother’s caring nature and the impact she had on their lives.
