Lakeview, Ohio – William M. “Bill” Black, a cherished member of the Tiffin community, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 61.
Born on October 10, 1962, Bill was raised in Tiffin by his parents, Thurman and Anna (Dugan) Black.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, not only to his family but to the many lives he touched through his work and community involvement.
Bill was a devoted father to his children, Adam (Cassandra) and Jocelyn, and a proud grandfather to Anna Black, with another grandchild expected in October.
He is also survived by his siblings Caroline, Jim, John, and Steve, along with numerous other family members and friends.
Bill’s life was marked by his passion for his work in mechanical engineering, having dedicated 20 years to Ameriwood and the past decade to Concordance (Seneca Medical).
His involvement in local organizations, including the Seneca County Port Authority, All Saints Parish, and the Elks and Moose Lodges, demonstrated his commitment to his community.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at All Saints Parish in New Riegel, Ohio.
The family has asked for prayers and support, with many friends sharing heartfelt condolences on social media.
Jenna Wilson commented, “He sounds like a wonderful man and grandpa! We’re continuing to pray for all of you.”
Others, like Amanda Miller and Alicia Reffner Coleman, echoed the sentiment, offering prayers for peace and comfort for the Black family.
Bill’s love for life was evident in his passions, whether it was riding his Harley, spending time outdoors, or sharing moments with his granddaughter.
