Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – Willis Ethelbert McCoy, a beloved long-time resident of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 76.
Born on December 20, 1947, in Appomattox, Virginia, McCoy was the son of the late Steven “Tee” Willis McCoy and Martha “Lil” Elizabeth McCoy.
He was a dedicated family man, a respected member of his community, and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Following his military service, Willis McCoy built a distinguished career with Conrail, the Consolidated Rail Corporation, where he worked with integrity and dedication until his retirement in 1999.
A graveside service and burial will be held in Harrisburg on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery.
His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his loved ones and those who had the honor of knowing him.
